Arden-Arcade is actually a census-designated place within Sacramento County, California, and as of the 2000 US Census the city’s population was just over 96,000 residents; however, after a border change conduced just after the census, the city’s population is now estimated at a much lower 83,000 residents. It is also one of the principal cities of the Sacramento-Arden-Arcade-Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The area’s history is not well documented, but what we do know is that it was originally part of Rancho Del Paso during the lat 19th century, and was then parceled and sold in the 1910′s. It was famous for horse breeding during the early 20th century and the city continued to grow through the 20′s and 30′s, and continues to grow today.

Because of its location near Sacramento (it is a suburb after all), it shares much of the same climate that its counterpart does. During the summer temperatures stay around 75 degrees during the day and drop to around 55 or so, and during the winter months highs stay in the 50′s while overnight lows drop to 45 degrees.
